Food Pantry

The Northwood Presbyterian Food Pantry is a mission of our congregation.  Dedicated volunteers purchase food as needed and also fill bags that are then given out to those less fortunate residents of the community that come to the church  doors for help. Each food bag is designed to feed a family of 4 for a week. A family can receive food from the Northwood Pantry once every 2 months.

The need in our own community is overwhelming and continues to grow as each year the Northwood Pantry has given out over 300 bags of food.

The “3 Cents a Meal offering during the Wednesdays and You (WAY) dinners also support this program as well as monetary gifts and donated non-perishable food.  The Girl Scouts, Christian Education Bible Classes, Vacation Bible School and others hold food drives to help sustain this critical mission.

Northwood depends on the generous support from all of us in order to sustain this ever growing demand. Please help us continue this important mission by donating whatever you can and as a caring congregation we together can feed the multitudes as Christ did.

Thank you for your faithful support of this ministry and mission of Northwood Presbyterian Church.

While the primary focus is the food pantry, once a quarter a family can elect to receive money credited to their utility bill.
