Special Offerings

Throughout the year, the church collects special offerings designated to different missions. Listed below are these offerings.

One Great Hour of Sharing (Received on Easter Sunday)
This offering promotes the sharing of God’s love with our neighbors in need around the world. The  gifts to this offering help provide relief for those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower the poor and oppressed.

Pentecost Offering (Received on the Day of Pentecost, the seventh Sunday after Easter)
This offering is directed toward  making an impact in the lives of young people by supporting ministries that encourage, develop, and support young people, and addresses the needs of at-risk children.

Peacemaking Offering (Received on World Communion Sunday, the first Sunday in October)
This offering promotes the Peace of Christ across the PC(USA) and supports peacemaking initiatives within the local community.

Christmas Joy Offering (Received on a Sunday in December)
This offering provides financial assistance to current and former church workers and their families and provides opportunities for deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related racial ethnic colleges and schools.

Christmas Eve Helping Hands Offering
This offering is used to support the meeting of needs in our local community. An example of helping local families and individuals in need is to assist them with paying a portion of their utility bills.
